New Fly Casting Meet Ups

PHW has added two new Meet-ups! These are informal sessions on a drop in basis at Overland Pond Park-Florida Avenue between South Santa Fe and South Platte River Drive.
(955 W Florida Ave, Denver)
This will be a chance for practicing rigging up and casting without any pressure of a trip.

****We will meet on the river just below the bridge.

Bill Cronin will be available for working on any casting or rigging (knots). There’s a good chance there will be some experienced fly fishers
(PHW volunteers) for some one on one questions and demos.
To participate: Please make sure your signed PHW releases are up to date
Must haves: fishing license/eye protection
Nice to have: hat, sunscreen, coffee, chair, water.
Something to consider during the day: The outhouse is now across Florida on the edge of the golf course.
Bill will have 3-4 of his personal fly rods available if you don’t have your equipment yet.
New dates and times (more may be added in August)

Saturday July 9th 8:30AM-11:00AM

Wednesday July  20th 8:30AM-11:00AM

Check out our Photo Galleries and Trip Reports of 2016

Even though the family day had to be canceled due to weather, our first couple of trips of the year have taken place and trip reports have been coming in.

There is a cumulative link for the Take a Vet Fishing trips and pictures from our first Lake Lehow outing on May18.
And, I challenge you to read Juan Martinez’ report from his Blue Valley Ranch trip and not to become envious in light of the hogs they caught! 🙂

Also posted are pictures of other events, like the Fly fishing 101 class that we co-sponsored with the CPW and not to forget the F3T
