On Saturday, April 26 we had our first Family Day of this year at Lake Lehow, and what a turnout we had!!! Over 120 vets. volunteers and friends and family showed up to enjoy a great day of fishing. It seemed like the fish were the most eager to eat in the morning (and thus be caught). We saw them enthusiastically jump and feed. In the afternoon, after the sun had said goodbye and the wind said hello, the action slowed down quite a bit. For lunch, we had burgers, brats and hotdogs and an assortment of great sides provided by the attendees. The highlight was a cake depicting emblems of all branches of the military.
Thank you all for attending and making this such a success.Thank you to Eddie Lohnes and all the other organizers for setting up such a great event!
And last but certainly not at all least: Thank you very much to the Department of Wildlife for allowing us to hold it at their venue!
